Interviews

As part of our interview process we are planning to get interviews from people in the London 2012 comittee. I have e-mailed various organisations acossiated with the Olympics including the Moyor of London and the London 2012 comittee.

Storyboard

Before we start the filming process of our documentary we had to write out our storyboard. This helped us write our ideas down on paper and when it come to the filming process we will have something to follow which will make the process much easier.

Our storyboard invovles pictures of the different shots that we will be having and below and explanation of what will happening happening in each of the shots.

Documentary Research

In order to decide what type of documentary our group wants to make we decided to research different modes of documentary. I found out that there are 4 different forms of documentaries.

Reflective this is where the film maker acknowlages their presence. Meaning sometimes in documentaries such as Louis Theroux the documenatry maker (Louis Theroux) is in presence within the shots of the documentary. Poetic is a for whereby an artistic naritive is constructed. Observational is being there as events unfold and Expository is an essay or exposition.

I also researched what documentaries try to achieve. Documentaries will either record, reveal or preserve. Persuade or promote. Analyse, interrogate or to express.
